4 Days Kenya Safari

 Day 01: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park

Our Kenya safari starts with the pick up from the Airport and depart to Lake Nakuru National Park with our first stopover at the Great Rift View Point . While on the highway Mount Longonot (which is of volcanic origin) and Lake Naivasha can be seen from afar. You arrive in time for lunch. After lunch have a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park famous for its ecosystem which comprises of the lake, surrounded by mainly wooded and bushy grasslands. Lake Nakuru National Park supports a wide ecological diversity with flamingos (greater and lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the white rhino and buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species.  Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Hotel. Day 02: Lake Nakuru National Park  – Masai Mara Game Reserve

 Another day of our Kenya safari starts with an awake to breakfast and depart to Masai Mara Game Reserve stopping at Narok town for lunch. Upon arrival at the Masai Mara Game Reserve, proceed for an afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara Game reserve is famous for it’s wildlife concentration and abundance that is second to none in the region. Elephant, lion and buffalo can be seen with relative ease though luck is a necessary factor for spotting rhino and leopard that complete the big five as the two animals are very timid and sparsely numbered. Dinner and overnight is at the Campsite/budget lodge. FB

Day 03: Masai Mara Game Reserve

 The Kenya safari at its best just another morning of tracking game after breakfast. Masai Mara Game Reserve forms the same eco-system with Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and is the annual seasonal scene of the migration of close to 800,000 zebra and wildebeest that occurs between the two Parks. There are a plenty of game besides the Big Five, including the  wildebeest, zebra, masai giraffe, hippos and a wide variety of antelopes including impala, dik dik, hartebeest, Grant’s gazelle and Thompson’s gazelle among others. Picnic lunch will be served at the Hippo Pool.

In the afternoon we can either do a game drive or a guided nature walk. At an extra cost, you may visit a local Masai village to see their nomadic lifestyle; the Masai are famous for their bravery, as they have co-existed with the animals over the years. In the evening, return to the Campsite/lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. FB

Day 04: Masai Mara – Nairobi

 Early morning pre-breakfast game drive, after which you depart the Mara region for Nairobi with lunch enroute, arriving in the late afternoon / early evening, transfer to the Airport for the flight back home, this will be the end of our Kenya Trip. HB
