Day 1: Airport pick.
You will be picked from Kigali International airport and transferred to your hotel/ lodge/ guest house in Kigali. After freshening up, you will go and tour the cultural museum in Kigali, proceed to your hotel for relaxation.
Dinner and overnight at hotel/ lodge/ guest house in Kigali.
Day 2: Travel to Parc National Des Volcans.
After you morning breakfast, continue with a Kigali city tour to the genocide memorial center at Gisozi, local markets and craft shops for some local art and craft pieces. Have lunch, after which you will be driven to Parc National Des Volcans – home of the mountain gorillas.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel/ Lodge/ Guest house.
Day 3: Tracking the Gorillas
After your early morning breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters at Kinigi for briefing, after which you will start tracking gorillas at 8.30 am. It might take you 2 to 6 hours to encounter the mountain gorillas and once found you will be allowed to view, interact and photograph the gorillas for only 1 hour. You will have your lunch at the hotel/ Lodge/ Guest house and if time allows, you will take an evening walk.

Day 4: Golden Monkey trekking and hike to Dian Fossey’s tombs
After your breakfast, you will go for golden monkey trekking. During the trekking, you will be able to view other primates such as red-tailed monkeys, birds, butterflies, etc. You will then take a hike to the tomb of Dian Fossey, a researcher who dedicated her life to the mountain gorillas. This is near the Karisoke Research Center, where the late Dian Fossey spent almost 20 years studying about mountain gorillas and their habituation. You might be able to view lots of wildlife, after which you will be taken back to Kigali town.
You will then be transferred to Kigali international airport to catch your flight.
